Hey guys I got caught up in the hype and have 19 rolls of the uncirculated danbury mint 1$ Presidential dollars, range from 07-11 I know I will never recoup my 35$ + shipping, but I'm in need of cash now and I dont have time for ebay so before I unload them to the bank or coin shop for face value are there any key dates in the rolls of 12 coins I should hold on to or could sell for more than face value I would be happy getting 16-17$ a roll and prob can an ebay but ill be honest I'm not too familiar with these coins it was something I just ordered and stored away, and now I need a little advice as to what to do with them to maximize my profit, I see ppl on ebay selling 1 coin for such an amount and others selling them for 25$ a roll, I would appreciate anyones input as to how I should go about selling off these coins, I have 19 uncirculated rolls of 12 dollars from the danbury mint, from 2007-2011. Thanks

What's the danbury mint?

Are these the actual Presidential dollars or something from a private mint?

If you're talking about this:

http://www.danburymint.com/collecti...82-0115.aspx

Then those tubes of 12 coins each have a face value of $12; I don't think there's anything special about them. At the very least you could take them to the bank and get $228. Or simply use them as normal spending money. I see completed listings on ebay for anywhere from $13-$20 so probably not even worth your time after you consider ebay and PayPal fees.

You could break the tubes and see if there are any worth grading as they should all be uncirculated. Probably not worth the time and effort though considering you want to unload quickly.

My advice is a quick Craigslist ad, then the bank for dump if you don't get any bites.

yes CelticKnot
Those are the ones, so other than searching for the errors which I'm sure none of mine have! just face value at the moment? I will do a quick cg list ad for 15 a roll and see what happens, as far as grading them I'm not experienced enough to know what to look for in a coin that should be graded, I'm still learning. thanks

Its not worth grading imo, to much risk and youd have to hit 70s on them to make any money at all if I remember right.

But yea no key dates or anything as of now errors would be the only thing to really look for

I highly doubt it unless someone messed up putting them together

Spend 'em, just spend 'em.
Or turn them in at the bank for folding money.
You got slickered by the Danbury Mint (whatever that is), my friend.
Regular rolls of Presidential dollars contain 25 coins, not 12.
As for ebay, are you looking at completed auction results to see what people will actually pay or are you just looking at the current listing which show what some very optimistic sellers want?
The only thing you could possibly hope for (and the chances are extremely remote) is that some of the coins could be missing the edge lettering. Those would be worth selling on ebay.
