I need some 2x2 self adhesive that can fit coins up to 45mm or even 50mm.
Anyone have any idea where I can source these in Aus

All I know is as the 2x2 window size gets bigger so too does their annoyance rating. The ones that fit crowns/morgans etc leave little room to write anything on and bend easily when putting them into plastic album sleeves. I've decided I'm going to go with capsules for large coins even though they don't fit in with the rest of my collection and how they are displayed (which is more or less the same as you from what I've seen).

Hi Trout,

Gold Coast Coins and Stamps sell a 2.5x2.5 which I find to be good for Crowns, US dollars etc.

Ok it is not a 2x2 but it is the same style, and does not have the problem of no space around the larger coins like the 2x2.

I have used the 2.5x2.5 holders before but I have run out of them, I have no idea where I got them from.
I have a system that works so that they end up fitting in my 2x2 albums.

hmm big size, I think the biggest one I have are the crown size.
The box says its 39.5mm

But when my dad bought from Downies years and years ago you could buy 2x2s he got a cartwheel and they are huge. (I think they are 41mm) I would ask them if they sell 2x2s for the size you are looking for.

Just checked and light house site only makes up to crown size; they don't make larger 2x2 so it must be a different brand.

Just a pedantic point: "2x2" actually means 2 inches by 2 inches. Therefore you cannot logically obtain a "2x2" that is any dimension other than 2x2, unless you travel to a parallel universe that has strange nonlinear geometry...

The larger holders shaped like a 2x2 are, as Peter and trout said, 2.5x2.5 sized. And I have seen them for sale at several dealers. I have a few I bought years ago but, owing to my "if it doesn't fit in a 2x2 I don't really want it" policy, I haven't used very many of them. But the ones I own are the stapled type; I'm not sure if they readily come as self-adhesives.

The other trouble with them is storage; I acquired a few "baseball card" album pages from somewhere and the 2.5x2.5s don't quite fit in them; I have to trim the sides by a few mm.

They also make "smaller 2x2s", which are actually 1.5x1.5 sized, which North Americans like to use to house their dimes and cents. I own a few coins that came from American dealers in these tiny holders, but I've never seen any local dealers either use or stock them.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Unfortunately, those are all 'Staple' type, and trout did specify self adhesive.

Well shoot me, sorry nancyc but beggars can't be choosers and as I'm a little slow I'd like to see anyone fit 2 inches into 50mm as 2"=50.8mm, so that leaves you .4 of a mm on each side to put your glue and yes I seen the self adhesive but he also said he'd like to get them here and as apple had not long posted that link it was the best I could do at the time and on short notice sorry please forgive me
