Hi. I'm Canadian, but I get American coins in change regularly. I only collect the ones I find interesting or that are really old. I got an Arizona State Quarter in change today and it is (in my opinion) the most beautiful american quarter in the State Quarter series I have seen yet. If you collect State Quarters, which one do you think looks the best? (not based on the state, but based on the coin's design)

Connecticut, Rhode Island, Mississippi, Nevada, Colorado, North Dakota, Arizona and Alaska are the ones that strike me as well designed. There are a lot more bad ones, but Delaware, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Florida, Idaho and Wyoming strike me as the worst. Idaho is unbelievably bad, it looks like a stoned pigeon being held a gunpoint.

Alaska is my favorite, followed closely by Arizona.

My favorite is Utah with South Dakota next. My opinion on these designs always seems to change for some reason, almost as frequently as my collecting goals. And in contrast to most, I actually like the Wyoming quarter, especially when it is struck as an error.

Wyoming is a good one... If I had to choose just one as my favorite, it would have to be Connecticut

I like Arizona a lot, same with alaska, virginia, and Kentucky. I think the montana, utah, nevada, and west va are also very well designed and very fitting off the top of my head. Not sure Id be able to just pick one

Personally, I don't care for any of them. I would have liked them to have restyled the eagle as it wouldn't have cost as much as to make so many different dies for far too many different designs.

Top 5 for me are Nevada, Oregon, Nebraska, Alaska, and Arizona. Wyoming comes in at #50.

I agree with Coinaholic, Nevada is my favorite with Alaska a close second. But so far the ATB designs are blowing the State Quarters out of the water.
