I picked up this Walker for a good friend of mine for his 7070 collection. He has helped me out on numerous occasions and I thought that I would return the favor. What do you think PCGS has to say about this problem-free coin? Thanks as always! (sellers images) Edited by oih82w8 07/24/2012 11:21 pm

Hmmm, I thought that Walkers "soft spot" was the left hand (kinda like Full Head or Full Shield on SLQ's) since the Eagles Breast was on the opposite side, causing "mushiness" of the hand. Definition of the thumb was desirable, and fingers were just about unheard of...or am I wrong?

Your correct that the hand is a soft spot, one of the reasons I was thinking MS 65 on this. I do wish the breast feathers were crisper though, perhaps slightly out of focus through plastic? great coin and a super present any way you look at it.

MS-65 or -64. Not a problem free coin or there is problems with the slab. Little dinky looking places.

"Not a problem free coin..." Perhaps I need some edification on "problem free". I thought that a coin that was not; Peeling, Lamination, Holed, Plugged, Not Genuine, Questionable Color, Cleaned, Planchet Flaw, Altered Surfaces, Scratched, Rim Dent, Bent, Environmental Damage, Damage, PVC Residue, etc... in other words, would not warrant an assigned numerical grade was considered "problem free".

I personally like it I'll go with 62 on the grade for the mushiness on the breast

Awesome gesture. I'm with upstate at 65. Looks like full thumb. Sweet coin!

I think you got a 64 for a 63 price. I would definitely call that under-graded. NICE coin.

I received this Walker on Friday, and it is going back today. I thought that there may be a scratch on the slab, but it was a scrape on Liberty's Head, and it appears to be a fresh one! If you magnify the image, and look where Liberty's ear should be, behind the eye, you will see an impression that moves upward toward the top of her head. I wish that I would have gotten a good close-up with my Dino-Lite before I packed it back up...I was just distraught. I told my friend that I would try again. He said thanks for looking out for his best interest.
