the 1856 has probably been wiped

This is not an area of excpertise so this is just a stab and we'll see how I do after experts chime in.

1856 is VF details, mild scratches on OBV but not real detracting, cleaned.
1853 is F details, fully Liberty, rim nick reverse and lightly cleaned but retoning to cover up the cleaning.

cleaned and/or damaged and a details grade from PCGS or NGC wouldn't be out of the question I suppose but who knows...first one is a bit shy in the fields for original surface...second one maintains a better surface on the field but heavy wear on the relief...
