DLRC does sell at market-maker retail- but they are an honest company that will work with you on price. They also ran a fantastic TPG for a while called Dominion Grading.

However, this Washington 25c set, while fine, is not a premium quality set. My mind actually boggles at the ask price of this set, as my set, also hardly premium, is better for every date I own- which is not all of these- but many.

So, I wonder, what would you guys peg the value of this ready made set?

I dunno, it seems like a pretty fair price to me. Most of the coins have higher grades.
Then again, it depends on if you're willing to pay a little more for a 'premade' set...
Whoever put that together must have had a lot of patience in trying to find them all in that condition, so it could be at a premium for their time.

I am not sure what would constitute a premium set if not this one. Almost every coin from 32 to the late 90's is at least an MS65 and it also includes 99-ATF in Proof 69.

You'd have to do all the math to figure out if the price was right but it sure seems like a pretty nice set to me.

The amount of math to figure out the price for that would be quite an effort.

That said I'm guessing the price is high. Theres some nice coins in there but the modern ATB and State Quarters arent expensive at all and theres not a single 70 in there.

this is by no means a premium set. Only a few MS-66's in the silver period- most MS-65 and those are $10-$15 coins. The 32-D and 32-S are in AU. Not MS-62 or 3 which should be a given at 5 figures. the clad's are all low end for the market.

All of the silvers I have 41-64 are MS-66 (all toners) and I wouldn't say I had a 'premium' set.

the clads should be MS66 or MS67... many easy PR70DCAMS in the set too, especially in the 2000s.

You would have more fun taking the 20 grand to a major coin show and spending the weekend making your own set.

...or spend 14K on this DLRC 32-D MS65, and party with the leftover 6K.

Usually you can get them to accept offers within 10 percent, but agreed actually spending it on things you want would be much more fun.

BUT don't forget there is FREE SHIPPING.
Since I am far from a slab collector, if it was mine I'd have to spend a few days breaking them all out of those.
