I was searching through 12 machine-rolled rolls of nickels I got from Bank Of America and on about the 9th roll,
I dumped them out onto the floor(don't worry it's carpet; no hard surfaces) and there I saw it:
A 1936 Buffalo nickel in excellent condition!
My first reaction was shock, followed by a 15 second-long gasp.
I have two other dateless Buffalo nickels but there is hardly any defined detail on either of them.
It's not my oldest find(1918 Wheat cent) but it's definitely my favourite.

Nice find! I love finding buffs! Doesn't it make you wonder how a coin so old got into that roll? I always wonder how no one noticed.

I know that my new issue is not totally related to this thread but I will mention it anyway just in case you Buffalo-guys can give me some feedback.

What do Buffalo nickels without dates sell for on average?

Also, great find on your '36 nickel.

I think alot of people are "cashing in" handed down collections...My friend works at a bank and a gas station owner brought in a few Mercury dimes and Eisenhowers that he had got and had been keeping over the last few years...and told her that he wanted "Real Money"...she tried to explain to him that some were silver and worth more...and he just said..."i just want real money"....lol
