I have been on an Information Quest on Trade dollars as of late, you could say that I have the the "fever". There have been quite a few positive remarks about "guess the grade", and I have found what I would consider a doozy, not mine of course.

I'm seeing an AU 55 and wouldn't be surprised to see a green bean sticker on it as well

Sweet looking Trade no matter what number they gave it. Obverse looks MS at first glance and the reverse looks high AU. Net grade is

I was with the AU58 crowd on this one BUT...
It is the most beautiful AU I've ever seen!

Quite a wide range of opinions, and rightfully so, I would not have guessed correctly;

The 1877 Trade dollar from the Legend Collection. It is graded PCGS MS65 and has a population of 3 with none finer.

a touch of wear on the claws wing tops and head of eagle
plus hair wear on the obverse
now I know why grading is so subjective
(gorgeous toning, lots of mint luster, and sharp detail on the rest of the coin, though)
