Since 2006 I have bought coins from these dealers through ma-shops: Diller Saive Monasterium2 WAG Pater Brom Siee Linnartz Wallinmynt Saenn Knopik Muenzzentrum Hoehn Rittig Olding
I was very satisfied with all the transactions. A very professional group of dealers.
I have made multiple purchases from Saive, WAG and Pater. They are nice people, very knowledgeable and I recommend them highly.

Have bought from them as well (Fenzl, Mehlhausen, MPO ...) and was satisfied too. Keep in mind, Plonker, that muenzauktion/ma-shops is just a platform; you still buy from individual sellers. But while I avoid ebay, I do certainly not avoid these guys. What may help is that coins and coin-related items are the main business for MA-Shops ... Christian

Have also bought from several dealers there. I have never been disappointed. The platform does ask for a feedback qfter you have made a transaction there.

Have had only good experiences with the sellers, but some wanted a wire transfer, which I don't feel like doing, and everything I bought was priced in Euros which made it somewhat more expensive. Otherwise no complaints.

Thank you chasingva69. One more question, do I have to declare these purchases in tax return ?

It is still: "Buyer Beware" regardless of platform. I usually ship 1st class letter mail on ebay as it avoids Custom declarations. The number of missing items is less than one per cent (over 12 years or even this year!), and a Customs Declaration clearly states: what is contained and the value of the item. I consider that "leading with my chin" I would rather take my chances. If the item is lost; I lose the coin and refund your money (not everyone does that). MA-Shops is very expensive but you get what you pay for... (taxes too).

Quote: everything I bought was priced in Euros which made it somewhat more expensive If the seller is in the euro area, the price is quite likely to be in euro. However, once you change the country settings to US, you will see their prices in both € and $. http://ma-shops.com/index.html?curr=USDEUR&lang=enChristian

Quote: Thank you chasingva69. One more question, do I have to declare these purchases in tax return ? No, of course not. Why would you? If you sell the item someday you may want to keep a record of the purchase price, which is your basis - but nothing on a US tax return asks you to report your overseas purchases.
