And if it doesn't sell, I still have the bar, so it's a win-win! Seriously, it is a nifty bar with tons of character, but I'm a collector of old coins, not old silver bars, and I'd be just as happy with shiny new 100-ounce bar if this one does sell. I just did a quick ebay search for 100-ounce silver bars and saw a bunch of brand new Engelhard bars with Buy It Now prices of $4500-$5000. I doubt any will actually sell, but those prices do make my bar look like a real bargain at "only" $4000... Report this Post to the Staff

Or maybe I should have set a higher BIN and accepted offers. Who knows... Whatever the case, I'm not unhappy since I get to keep the bat and I didn't buy it to make a quick profit in the first place. Still, it would have been nice to sell it for $4000 and then buy two more bars.
