How often do you find american "loonies" in circulation in canada? Any help would be appreciated.

living near the border I have received a couple in change in the past year or so .

Only time I see them is when I am in the States and use a Bill Change machine.

san diego sea world gives out $2 bills in change for parking for a little gimmick. the attendant told me they tried giving dollar coins but had too many people refuse to take them that they had to stop. dont think they are very popular to say the least.

I live in Ottawa and work in a small store there and I have never got one. The only one I have ever seen is one my sister brought back from the states
