Okay, I can help a little. It's a token for 20 something in trade, maybe $20.00, but I doubt it. Looks as if it's had a mount soldered onto its top, too.

Nobody gives away tokens as a medal or award. But I don't know why such a token would have had a mount attached. It's not as though someone would have made it into jewellery, like you often see for gold coins. This piece definitely isn't going to be made of gold.

Actually, I have seen something simmilar. It was and upscale price tag on a sculpture. Some people used to use the underscore to indicate the cent amount. Can"t remember where I saw this though. Goodluck.

It may have had a loop on it from being on a charm bracelet. It may have had sentimental meaning to some one at some point.

Besides that, it seems to be a generic "good for" from a social club or a bar, etc.
