2002-2008 coins are not intended for circulation and are worth above face value. Any proofs are worth saving. 2009-11 are commons and the orientation of the side lettering can be facing up toward the obverse or facing down towards the reverse (sides A and B) and they are equally common- 50-50 chance. There might be some rare 2009-11 coins with no edge lettering but nowhere near as common as the Washington Presidential Ddollar.

Are you talking about sac dollars or Presidential dollars ? Sac dollars started in 2000 and have been available from the mint. I believe that you may have them confused with the pres dollars.

I actually dont think he is talking about either of them. I think he is talking about the "Native American coins" which have the edge lettering. The Sacagawea dollars didn't have this feature and even though the Obverse is the same it is not called a Sacagawea dollar any longer
