How would you grade this one? There are reflections off the mylar, not the coin.

I had to modify the 2x2. This is bigger than the later dollars.

Looks like VF+ detail. It should be stored in an ASE size Air-Tite. Some Air-Tites have inert "rings" that can be cut to size if needed. The 2x2 is not good for high value coins (particularly a cut one where cardboard particles can rest on the coin).

I agree with a strong VF on details. Looks like an old cleaning, and I see some lightly scratched grafitti to the left of Liberty's head. Maybe some initials scratched into the coin. Kinda looks like 'DA'. Anyone else see that?

I don't see a "DA" but coins from this era have often been subjected to graffiti, tooling, and other unsavory practices.

This example seems to have escaped any major molestation.

It appears to be around a VF-20/25 but there is a bright patch right above the head that might cause it to details grade. Still a very nice coin!

I think there might be more central details in Liberty's hair than we are seeing, due to all the shine and "runs" in the Mylar. Any chance for pics out of the 2/2? Definitely a beautiful example of my favorite US Mint coin, and so good not to see it entombed in a TPG slab!

I agree that it's time to upgrade from an "Efficiency Apartment" to a "Ranch House".

IOW move on up to a better, more protective holder than the 2x2, she deserves it!

Here is a picture with light coming in from the right. With many coins space is at a premium in the safe deposit vault. This is one of my favorites.

I agree with VF-25 to VF-30. Overall it looks original and I like the color.

The first reverse photo shows a circular groove at the bottom rim that resembles the seam sometimes visible on "magician" coins. The second photo does not show this feature so clearly. Does the coin in fact have this feature? If so I would be concerned about some kind of alteration or other post-mint damage.
