Found this today while roll searching american cents.


notice the indentation that does not effect the "G"

strike through? some sort of clash?


anyone familiar with similar cents

I am not an expert but for it to be struck through the debris would have to match the shape of the G, which would be highly unlikely. I would think that this was a planchet lamination error.
