I know these are some of the cheaper members of the commemorative family, but I tried to find nicer grades to make up for it.

The mark on the eagle on this Stone Mountain is a mark (like pencil) and not a scratch.

I have two commemorative halves:
The Colombian and the George Washington.
Of the two, the first is my favorite. Worn and toned, it served as a servant
of commerce. Sold for a dollar, many were left unsold and eventually made there way
into circulation at the face value of 50 cents.
This historical connection makes it special to me.
Your coins are very nice.

You've got yourself a very nice pair of classic commemoratives - nice eye! They're a pleasure to view!

Are you working on any type of commemorative set?

I'm slowly working on a commem type set. I have about 7 so far. I'll post some more photos. I love the high relief of many of the classics and the art deco style. The stories behind them are pretty entertaining. So many of these would NEVER be minted today for various reasons.

I edit the image in photoshop. I add the black background and the reflection. I [usually] don't do any color correction or play with the brightness. I do sometimes "square" the image if I took the photo at an angle and the image is distorted and non-circular.
