What would you grade it?

I am not 100% sure because of the rim damage

This is one of those coins that leaves you thinking what could have been should have been. A few rim bumps and a graze away from a true gem. I wouldn't call it anything less than MS64.

Looks like this was a Gem coin that got dropped and slid on the floor. It's a damaged coin so any TPG will body bag it or just give you a "genuine" label. Not sure how you can give it a numerical grade other than Uncirculated details.

Unfortunately those rim hits and that swipe across the face and neck do look like damage. Otherwise, she's a gem, and a high one at that. Let me translate that. Forget that damage, she's a $2000 coin, easy.

I was thinking that as well.

It's a real shame because that was a dynamite coin at one time, sharp strike, super clean and frosty. Looks like some guys ex-wife got made at him and beat the crap out of his best coin, tossed it on the ground a couple times then kicked it across the room. That coin with out the damage would most likely be an MS-66 which retails for $40k. MS-65 drops to $5k.
What's the story on this coin, how did you end up with it?

If not for the damage MS-64 easy to my eyes.
I dont think the rim damage takes away that much of the appeal of this fine Morgan.
Mine is mS-63 graded and yours looks better than mine.

It's a coin I am thinking about buying. The damage is what really confused me on this one. Because of the Rim Damage I graded it a 64. Which seems to be the going consensus so far.
