Since the Presidential dollar coins and the post-2008 Sacagaweas have their MM on the edge, which is impossible to appreciate in folders like I use, they may as well not even have them! Hence, I've decided to forgo caring about MM on these coins as I collect them.

Anyone else of like mindset?

I pretty much agree. I have a P&D Presidential dollar album. I'm pretty sure I put them in the right slots but if I got any of them wrong I really dont care since theres no way to really tell.

I don't collect them. I do have one in my Type Set, and a Washington PDS set, but that's all.

EDIT - They do make coin holders (not albums) to have the edges viewable, and pages to show 12 in a 3-ring binder.

I agree. Because of this, I am only collecting the Presidential dollars by date, not date and mint.

Makes one wonder how these will wear. Will you be able to tell the date or MM on these in the future? Will they be like dateless buffaloes or something?

I have already seen Presidential dollars with the edge so worn that you could not read the edge markings. You could tell something was there, but not read them.

The portrait on the obverse can point to the correct date, but not what mint mark.

FYI - the motto "In God We Trust" was on the edge the first 2 years, and its now on the obverse. Guess someone didn't think the edge was good enough.

Agreed.

Which is why I have no problem collecting them by date. Also, the Native American dollars have a unique reverse each year; if they were not (the original Sacagawea), I would not collect those at all.
