It's not too hard to get a complete 20¢ piece set (forget about the extremely rare 1876-CC; only about 18 known). And, because it's not in high demand, prices are pretty reasonable for the very low mintages! It's like getting 3 key dates out of a 4-coin series!

Nice topic Tony. I am only two Seated Liberty dollars away from completing a Dansco 7070 (sans gold). The only other set I have finished is the Jefferson nickel to 1965. I am getting kind of intrigued by working on a Franklin half set. I found all the tough early dates in my Mother's collection and the rest don't look too hard. Colin

I just completed a circulated/unc Walker set (mostly RAW). I will continue to upgrade it. The short set part of it (1941-47) is gradually being upgraded to gem, hopefully, and those coins are in slabs. But the first twenty years of this series can always be improved upon without losing its character. I am one coin away from completing a mint state set of Peace dollars, and I am well into a 7070 type set. Only the Peace dollars, the gem Walkers, and a few coins in the type set are certified. I imagine I'll ask ANACS to grade some of the copper coins, certainly the older ones - if not for nothing else, for variety attribution. Plus, if there are problems I can't see , I'd like to know what they are. I also have a lot of mint products that I'd like to unload to tell you the truth.

Looks like some pretty nice accomplishments here. quote: I recently gave away thousands of loose Wheat Cents and Jefferson nickels.
Justcarl, can you tell us the next time there's a give-away?

As to my coin giveaways. A few years back I was diagnosed with Cancer and didn't think I'd be around and the only place for coins I was on was the PCGS web site. Since many people there have giveaways, I had 25 of them not knowing about tomorrow. I gave away thousands of Wheat Lincolns, hundreds of Jeffersons, a few albums, Many, many proof commenoratives and a lot more. Right before I go for the next Cat scans, bone scans, X-rays, etc. I try to get rid of more coins just in case. Next session of test coming up soon enough. No one to leave it all to.

Wow Just carl. Certainly didn't mean to bring up a sore subject. I do apologize, and while there's nothing I can say or do to change things, my thoughts and prayers are with you to send that ugly stuff into remission and hopefully see it disappear forever.
Best regards,
Tighe

I didn't know that either Carl. I commend you for your generosity to other collectors and I am hoping for the best in the next round of tests.

I had completed a B1 Reverse Morgan set (which is very short but hard to find all of them) and had the collectors society #1 set in the category but I sold off the coins to get some of the tougher coins for my dansco7070, but it was complete before I sold it and had all finest known specimens in it

I remember looking at that set Bryan, and I think I now own a lesser member from it. It sure was a nice set. I think your 7070 is outstanding though, and I think I like it better....

Everyone working on interesting stuff nice. Carl, yes you are a generous man. Christina, nice collections and I bet that Large Cent collection is very nice in the higher grades as you have them. Stephen I just sold a few Walker short set dates in 64 wish I knew you were upgrading maybe could have helped you out there. Coggie, let me know when you are ready to start Barber dimes, I have a few I do not need. Regards Tony
