I just picked this up at a new coin shop in town... Sold as a "RE-STRIKE" it weighs 22.67g @ 37mm.

The gentleman assured me that it wasn't a copy, but indicated that the coin had been re-struck at some point. I thinks a nice coin, and I hope its legit, there is an inscription on the edge of the coin. Maybe someone here can help me out here? Any idea on a grade an value? This is a new area of collecting for me, so I really don't know alot but, I am sure there are tons of fakes out there.
Comments and opinions are always welcome.

My only concern is that Krause (c# 111) lists it at 25.000g.

I would want to know if it is magnetic or not.

Can the fact that it was restruck account for the lower weight, and "fuzzy" details?
Can the fact that it was restruck account for the very slightly different font?
What is the edge inscription supposed to read? Mine reads what looks like FERT.

It means nothing - it's not official. It's crude for a coin that's supposed re-strike. That's for a start.

What's important is to establish the density of the "coin". If it has the same diameter and thickness but not the weight, it cannot be silver regardless of how you want to twist facts.

Here's something to compare with: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces21562.html

I'm sure you can tell it's different.

As I suspect I have been had....I had another guy I know confirm its bunk suspecting it is at best a pre world war two, non-Silver, collectors piece that is not stamped COPY

No one is twisting facts...thanks for the source

I have been had by a sales man who may or maynot be aware its real leaning towards knows seeing as though he said he "tests" everything and I teneded to believe him since there is also a small edge dent/ scuff(again assuming he used a scratch board.)

Thanks all for helping me out. Maybe I can get a refund, paid $40USD for it.

The store clerk accepted the return with the overwhelming evidence provided here on this forum, thanks guys. He argued with me for a while but ultimately conceded and return my money.
