I have an order saved on Provident Metals. But, I've been looking through it periodically and am re thinking.
I have $300 to spend. And I'm looking to pick up mostly 1 oz bars and rounds. I know a few 5 oz or maybe a 10 oz would be a better deal. But Id rather collected small bars and rounds.
Is Provident a good choice for this plan? Or is there another place ?
And what would you do with $300?

With $300 I would put an order to the bank for $300 of pennies. Because if you sort out the copper pennies from those (about %30) you could come out with 90 dollars facevalue of copper coins, which you could sell for 1.5 times facevalue for a nice $45 profit on ebay (not including fees) This is what I would do because I personally dont like long term investments, but with the profits I made from searching pennies I would probably buy high grade american silver eagles, but that is just a personal preference.

Provident is an outstanding choice. They typically have an excellent selection of bars and rounds in stock. Also, their $8.95 shipping and insurance charge (for orders up to $499.99USD) is one of the lowest you'll find anywhere. Buy with confidence.

Provident is a fine choice but then so are GoldMart and SilverTowne.

I may wait it out.
But I have a question. I had a 1 oz Silvertowne bar in my cart and a 5 oz Silvertowne bar and the 1 oz had a smaller premium per oz than the 5 oz bar. How does that work?

If I were in the market to buy strictly silver for the $300, first of all, Provident is a good choice. If I had to pick, ASE's and Maple Leafs are my prime picks for their popularity and ease of resell. I would probably stay away from generic rounds and the ATB hockey pucks.

I definitely dont buy generic rounds. I do have a few ASEs added to my order. So far I have 3 ASEs and 5 JM 1 oz bars. Hmm. What to do, what to do
