I looked around and I couldn't find any info so I will ask my self please let me know if there is a topic too. Can anyone tell me the best magnify glass there is for the price and where you don't need to strain your eyes badly. and if anyone can tell me if there is any lens for a canon power shot s90 to take good pictures and zoom to see everything and/or for the iPhone. Thank you very much.

All depends on how much you want to pay, where you buy them, who you listen to, etc. Myself, I go to flea markets and buy a variety of them for usually $1 to $3 each. If you get a lot of them, you can figure out which you like best and at a cheap price. Many will say you need this or that but I'll stick to cheap. Works just as well.

That don't look bad John1 but for some reason I hate it that its so small for I have to keep it close to my eye and I was wondering if there was one or some that was better then that that give that much zoom though too. That don't sound bad to do only problem don't know any flea markets around my area. I also don't want to keep spending money for by the time I'm done I would have spend more then needed. So I was wondering if you guys or anyone knew of any kind that is like glasses or like some diamond or key cutters use or if thy any good. Thanks

I normally use glasses to read. Fortunately the lack of accommodation for short distances is about even for both eyes. I do not need glasses for driving.
Because of the even deterioration, I can use cheap glasses for short range viewing of coins. I use cheap 4X glasses, purchased from a cut price store. This gives me the advantage of viewing coins at close range in good detail, without eye strain.
As soon as I need to look up, I lift the glasses to the top of my head.

lucky me I use glasses for long distance close up I can see no problem but not for coins unless I'm seeing it wrong. I tried a 30x that was made in china when I got it first time I tried using it up close and it hurt my eyes flipped it over and I didn't get anything good from it either. Read the reviews on it and people said the same. Thy said also that the number is wrong its not 30x its 10x or less. So I would love to get a usb microscope but I don't have any money to spend on it so if there is a good magnify glass that I can sub for time time being would be great :D Thanks

http://www.widgetsupply.com carries quality items at good prices. I have purchased quite a few magnifiers and loupes, and recommend a suite of three for most purposes: 1. 3 in 5x glass, handled magnifier ($3) for general quick inspection 2. 20mm 10x loupe ($13) for typical inspection 3. 20mm 15x loupe ($13) for detailed inspection like doubling, cleaning, etc. Make sure the loupes are triplets! Three pieces of glass ensure maximum viewing angle, width, and focal range, anything less is disappointing once you've used three. One of these days, I'm going to by the 30x 20mm magnifier/stand since a lot of work is done at the same spot under the same lighting. But I don't think this is a triplet or actually 30x, so haven't committed yet. Speaking of lighting, many loupes and magnifiers now have LEDs, but I'm tired of always changing batteries and have good lighting at the desk already. And small LEDs can cast a poor quality color range that skews your perceptions.

I use a 20 year old 8 power drafting loupe works great. Also I have up to 125 power in a varitey od hand helg lighted magnifiers. But I use the 8 power most of the time.

Sounds like the 8 to 10 is the best to use, But why not more magnify? Can see clearly and in some points you don't strain
