I'm currently upgrading Numis Bid to a new auction system which includes a live auction feature. The system has not yet been properly tested and I'd like some volunteers in testing it. I've set up a test auction with 6 coins in it, later date PCGS certified pre-decimal coins, you can view them here: http://www.numisbid.com.au/Browse/ (just the 6 that are ending on the 31st of August) The auction runs at 7pm on Friday on this page: http://www.numisbid.com.au/Auction/It's a live bidding system similar to how bidding goes at an auction house, except totally on-line. I'd like some people to bid on the coins in the live auction system this Friday at 7pm AEST, if you win them you get the coins free including free postage. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated too.

Happy to have signed up to bid, and have already bid!
I collect shillings, when I get them I keep them in capsules all in a container together (little square tray thing).
Anyways, my question is Walter, do you ever sell shillings uncertified. I would be interested in later dates that WOULD grade MS64+ but are uncertified.

Looks like fun W. I will bid on anything I desire and consider it a genuine auction. Don't want anything for free (OK, maybe free post) and happy to pay if I win any item.
Don't know if I will be on-line at auction time but will lodge proxy bid in that case.
All the items seem to finish at exactly the same time! Is that just for this test run? In a real auction there would be a minute, or two, between lots. Same time finish will make it hard to bid on multiple lots.
cheers, Jeff

We sometimes have uncertified coins on Numis Bid, usually they are vendor consignments. We had some 1961 and 1962 shillings that would have graded MS64-65 a few months ago but we don't often sell them individually.

Thanks for the help everyone, if everything goes well we should be able to run our September auction with the new live system.

Nice new feature Walter, I will leave the live auction feature to other CCF members to test out as I won't be near a computer friday night.
On another note, is the estimate on the 1951 PL 1/2d MS65RD a typo? I normally see those coins sell around $100, one did sell ages ago for $600-900 (can't remember exactly) but that was MS66RD.

There was a 65RD that sold for $630 at Pacific Rim Coins Auction so they're worth around that price level. Quote: Can members from other than Australia be in on this? John Sure but I can't offer free postage.

I bid on one of the coins, no problems at all. Plus the sign up was really easy. I will use this in the future
