Dear Eileen,
What concerned me was posting the photos which appeared in the Journal. But I used the ones
on the website. Also I added the names of we attendees of the first, kick-off joint meeting on a regional level.
A few words about the site: It is most strictly run public website that I have ever come across. Between the US
and Canadian members, along with our members in Australia, this group is monitored 24 hours a day. It is 100 per cent "Kid Friendly." Any violation of group policy is immediately dealt with, and repeat violators and spammers are
either put on probation or outright banned!
My long time agenda has included bridging the gap between traditional coin groups with a long print tradition
and the generation who grew up on computers. If I am not mistaken, it has been the wish of the BCCS to make
out existence known to a wider public. I see this as the time to make the move to an Internet presence beyond
what has occurred to date. If only a few of our members join me as members of the CCF, we can grow both groups in
depth of knowledge. That, after all, is a goal we all share.
Also, what has been missing in the BCCS is a question and answer section on our website. But taking advantage of the CCF, we can serve both audiences in the quest to share knowledge.
And, if our pioneering efforts stir other traditional coin groups to join us, well, that would just be grand!
Manchester remains a dream but is unlikely to happen. Am praying for a miracle!
John may have to carry on without me.

I posted this in my online coin group.I may have broken a few rules, but it was done in the effort to spread knowledge of the existence of our two groups.

Matthew,
I read your message posted on that website yesterday and see no reason for you to be in trouble for it. Freedom of speech and all that.
What I am going to mention to the membership in the upcoming Journal is the section on coin facts -
http://www.coincommunity.com/us_coin_facts/ If you click on
Barber dimes, for example, it gives you general grading standards and dime specifications as well as circulation and proof mintages for each mintmark and year. Very educational and interesting.
I am crediting you for your plug for BCCS and for bringing the coin community website Barber coin sections to my attention.
I hope to have this issue ready to mail to the printer this Friday.
Are you going to the Manchester Show Sept. 14th?
Stay well,
Eileen
