Putting in an order Friday this week.

I got room in my cart for:

(2) 1 oz Silver; Maple, ASE, Bar ect.

OR

1 Gram Pamp Suisse Gold

?

I only have 2 1/2 grams of gold right now because I mainly started with just silver, and got the 2.5 gram Pamp bar just to have it and its nice but. Not sure what to do....

Taking a poll here!

I would go with the ASE if I were you. The value will only go up.

Silver.....but to order only 2? Buying online or local? If online, isn't shipping jacking up your cost?

Samsnate. No I have other items in my cart, and still have an extra $65+ in my budget to spend.

So that's why I was asking. I see a trend though. Can't be wrong with ASEs....

So my total cart has:

(4) 1 oz Engelhard bars
(5) ASEs
(4) Maples

I was thinking of getting my first 5 oz bar but, all of them on Provident must be in such high demand the premium is no less than getting 1 ozs.

And also a couple copper rounds for the daughter. She loves copper for some reason! She's been collecting 82'-prior pennies too!

I better start getting her the 1 to 5 lbs copper bars. The 1 oz are 5x spot! lol

If you can, try to come out with a little gold in your bullion transactions. I think it's really tough even getting 1 gram of gold as I know it can get a nice chunk of silver. On the flip side, sometimes I regret not picking up even 1 gram of gold to go with my silver. It all adds up....

Adding a bit of gold to your stack at some point is a good idea. But for this purchase? I'd go with your excellent silver choices and maybe set aside a few dollars every week to buy a 1/4 ounce gold coin in the near future.

Well since I just started collecting about 3 months ago, I made a new plan for myself, Ill be at 45 ozs of silver after this order. Once I passed $1500 worth, I was going to flip some silver into a quarter of gold. Would that be a good idea?

ive done that. posted a few times regarding it. A lot of people say save until you afford gold but I buy silver until I can afford gold. Or you can buy the silver now and play the GSR ( Gold silver ratio) Game if you are patient enough. I try to have 1/2oz gold for every 25oz of silver. I wanted more gold but I like silver too much. I wont get into the 1oz I dont think. Gold is already out of so many people budget that If I were to sell when gold gets right up there, the 1/2oz will be easier to sell. you pay the premium over the 1oz coins but you pay less of a premium than the lower fractional, which are more liquid though. To each his/her own I guess. CHEERS!

thanks samsnate. Always helpful.

I will be putting in this silver order at the end of this week and I will start to save up a bit for some gold, and maybe only have to flip a small portion of silver.

Silver now gold later seems wise....

Gold is great, but trying to stack both, now you are trying to beat a two headed monster, or with the price of gold three headed dog like the beast that guards the gates of this guys pad....
