I live in a seaside town. We have tourists from all over the globe, ferries to France and the Channel Islands and lots of language schools. So, all in all quite a cosmopolitan area, and one where you are accustomed to receiving the occasional foreign coin in your change.
Which doesn't prepare you for something like this, received earlier today.
