I bought these about 9-10 years ago. I have not been as active recently with collecting, and figured some peeps on here could give me their opinions as to whether these are authentic, and what they may grade.
Thanks in advance.
Jim

Im not the ideal grader but id put them both in the AU category. I don't think they're cleaned.

What did you pay for them back then?

IIRC, I paid about 125 for the $2.50 (maybe a bit less) and roughly 165 for the $5.00.

they both look authentic to me and look to both be in the XF category to me. I don't think they would make the AU grade

The 1895 is higher grade, EF-45 or maybe AU-50. It looks original. The quarter eagle is more worn, maybe EF-40. Looks like it may have been lightly cleaned at one point.

No reason to suspect they aren't authentic. Very decent type coins and you can't complain about the price!
