What would be the diameter size for a coin to be considered as a genuine "crown" coin

I see so many words in the internet such as small crown, large crown, mid crown etc... it's a confusing benchmark

I'm not certain, but I believe the modern ones are in the range of 38mm. Hope it helps

Fair question, but there is no strict answer to it.
A silver dollar measures 38.1 mm, a British Crown 38.5mm.

I saw a note in an old Krause catalogue that nominally gave 'Crown' or 'Dollar' sized coins as any coin over 35mm diameter.

Obviously, this note would not apply to coins that are a huge amount over, say 40mm.

My personal rule of thumb is
if the coin cannot fit into the largest hole size of a 2x2, then it is larger than 'crown' or 'dollar' sized.
