There is a well-known seller on ebay (name need not be mentioned) who places a "GS" on the lower left of their "enhanced" images, in which frequently gets their descriptions wrong. I emailed them a few times mentioning the inaccuracies of their titles, and I received a cordial response saying that they list so many coins per week that some mistakes are bound to slip through. I was placing a bid on a certified coin of theirs and I received a message say that this seller is not accepting my bids (or something to that effect). Just curious if anyone else has been "blocked" from an ebay seller? Edited by oih82w8 09/07/2012 3:08 pm

You would know, if you tried to place a bid on their stuff.

Yes, and the correct term is "blocked". I outted a scumbag many years ago and was blocked. Then a couple years later the hooligan had the nerve to list a rare 8TF Morgan VAM that I wanted regardless of who was selling it. I placed my bid and got the infamous message. If you communicate with a seller with anything other than glowing praise, you risk placement on the blocked bidder list. If you purchase a coin and take advantage of the sellers return policy, you risk it too. These days I don't usually communicate with sellers. As a seller I have about two dozen userid's on my block list. They were referred by other coin enthusiasts who had been burned.

And we wonder why some less than reputable sellers have 100% positive feedback...

I think that a lot of sellers have to walk on egg shells because neg feedback is pretty detrimental to them. One time I had a buyer who kept emailing me over and over wanting to know every little detail about a cheap old tool I was selling. I ended up blocking him because I was worried that he was sooo soooo picky that he would lead to trouble or neg/nut FB.

2klbg thats a good point about the negative feedback. I think too in that instance I would have done the same thing. Its one thing if theyre asking of something of value, but a ton of questions about something cheap raises red flags as to how smoothly the transaction will go

As XKCD's Martin Monroe once said, if you send a bobcat to a person just 1/30 times, your feedback will still be 97%.

I have been blocked by several sellers after one clown placed my user name on a forum saying I leave negative feedback. I've yet to leave a negative feedback and cant understand it. That's ok there's plenty of other sellers who will get my bids instead. At first it was off putting now I just laugh.
