Feeling lucky, I stopped at two grocery stores on the way home and didn't even find any dust in their machines.
That means someone else has been looking and <gasp> finding!

I carefully take the coins out and leave the dust.

Nothing for about a month then today a beat up clad dime, a worse off LMC. But then this 1968 1/2 Swiss franc popped up.

I checked the coinstar last weekend, and found 4 beat up zinc cents, a 2008 Canadian cent and a 1996 Ten Pence from the UK.

Not exactly a coinstar find, but I was walking by the coinstar in my local grocery store last weekend to take a peek in the reject tray (empty), and I saw a wallet lying nearby on the floor. The wallet was bulging with cash. I immediately took the wallet (didn't look at the cash), to the customer service desk. Hopefully, they reunited the wallet with the owner. I know I would have been really worried about losing a wallet bulging with cash!

As someone who has been known to lose things, I would like to thank you for that, berto.

You were one year off from that being silver!! From 1967 and before they were 83.5% silver. Oh so close!

I certainly hope your good deed is repaid in kind. I don't think many would have been so honest.

Coinstars have been a total bust for me for about a week and a half now.

At the very least, I would hope for sound sleep.
