Thank you all for the kind words, and thanks for sharing these AWESOME finds! AMAZING steels TNT! If I could find just ONE in that condition, id be ecstatic! Has anyone considered making a contest, or scavenger hunt just on coin star finds? All just for fun of course. Maybe we could makeup a list of some of our more common rarities (if that makes sense), maybe assign some points for silver, wheaties etc. Kinda like a "Fantasy Coin Star League".... If anyone thinks it would be fun, or would want to play, just say so, and we can makeup a list and start a new thread.

Found all of 4 cents in my CoinStar adventures this afternoon, but one was a 1941-S wheatie!

I need to post more often that I haven't found anything because it seems that every time I do, I find something the next day! I walked up to a machine today, still running like it does right after someone finishes, and found a whopping $0.18 - a dime, a nickel and 3 cents (nothing special). The people who had just finished were watching me from a nearby register as they cashed their voucher. The best find, however, was when walking out, I spotted a gift card lying on the pavement of the crosswalk area and snagged it (no one near it at all). Usually these end up having 10 cents on them or nothing at all. This one was a brand-spanking-new $25 Wal-mart gift card! I'll have to see if Wal-mart sells collecting supplies online; I've never looked before.

I had quite the day today... Coinstar Machine #2 on the day produced $2.32 in assorted US coins... But the big prize was waiting for me at Coinstar Machine #5 - the last one of the day... Sitting on top of the machine next to where you dump the coins in were a 1 Peso Phillipines coin and 12 cents (a dime and Two Cents) in US currency... One of the cents was a common zincoln... the other two coins... a 1918 Mercury dime and a 1940-S wheatie! (Also pictured, yesterday's 1941-S wheat find). And if that weren't enough, saw my favorite checker at the store, and she rounded up my change by a cent. What a day!

Same machine that had the 1918 Dime and 1940-S wheat had a "leftover" sitting in the same spot today... this time a 1936 wheatie!

Not exactly coinstar but going through Walmart self checkout found three zincolns in the return change bin. I'll take it. Then found 1 in the parking lot.

I got to say, I never even considered looking in a coinstar tray, however I am glad that I do look now. Today was my first coinstar find and it is interesting to say the least. I do not have pictures just yet but will soon if you would like to see them. Below are the finds. 1995-P Dime 2005-P Dime 1966 Dime 1988-P Dime-Struck by a tilted die maybe, not sure, but one half of the coin is thinner and on the thicker side, the reeds appear to be separated like the coin is split in half 2000-P Dime-Struck Through Grease in the shape of a C or part of a G or O or zero 1988-P Nickel 2015-D Bombay Hook Quarter 1996-D Quarter 1990-P Quarter-The reverse was painted at some point to resemble the crucifix 1964-D Quarter with a possible RPM, I may have to post this by itself to get help attributing, if it even is a RPM, but coin could probably grade AU or maybe better 2007-D Cent-The Die was polished (maybe? I'm not sure) right where his hair meets the top of his head and looks like he wearing a wig 1990 Canada Dollar Coin 2008-D Dime stuck to a 2001 Cent 2011 Cent stuck to a 1986-D Cent 2004 Cent stuck to a 2015-P Dime

Great finds, Idacostya!
I checked my local Coinstar machine when shopping this morning. Nothing in the reject tray, but I found a 2005 French 2-cent piece on the floor in front of it!
