Thanks, I walked inthe store and saw a man dumping a big popcorn tin of change in and decided to linger and see if he would grab the rejects. there was also about 3 dollars in crud covered spending change. A quick bath in lemon juice and salt, the are now clean enough to spend. Lol

In the past few days, I've found a few foreign coins and other modern coins that are deformed enough to get rejected, but yesterday, in addition to a really messed up penny and 2 quarters with some weird substance on it, the Coinstar machine at a Shoprite produced a 1958-D nickel in brand new condition!

I went to the drug store yesterday to pick up a prescription and a few other items. I was happy to find a parking space near the door between two cars. When I came out, both cars were gone and when I went to put my purchases in the passenger side, this was on the ground. Not a CoinStar find, but it's 61¢ I didn't have before.  |

I'm donating the common coins I find in Coinstar machines these days to whatever charity has a collection bin at the end of the registers hoping for a a little Coinstar Karma.

Found $.87 the other night in the coinstar at the grocery store. Got a little excited because one dime looked pretty old, but, it was a 67 clad, bummer.

nss-52-the 2005 Minnesota quarter reminds me of the Canadian loonie. I happened to have found only one up here in Canada, CRH, and put it away. Nice reminder, Thanks.
