Last night I found a 1943-D steel penny and a Portuguese Euro cent.
Rest in Peace

Hidden among the two hands full of Canadian dimes, nickels and cents, I found yesterday, were a number of Bahamian coins and this tiny 1983 1 NGWEE.

I really like that critter on the reverse of the first coin I've found from Zambia.

Cool find nfine!

Iv'e had a good 2.5 weeks. 4 silver dimes, 1953, 1959, 1961, 1963, all D. A ton of change, quite a few euro coins, pesos, Canadian coins, etc. Today I found a Icelandic coin and a Swedish coin, my first from both countries. I also found a red 1961 penny with a weird shape punched out. .

The creature on the back of that coin closely resembles an Anteater, though I don't know if that is what it really is.

I don't understand why folks post things like "I found 37¢ in zinc pennies and cupronickel dimes in the Coinstar machine." I find loose change all the time but I don't feel like it's cool enough to post here. I only post if I find something interesting like silver or foreign coins.

To each their own I say. I find stuff on the ground fairly often but, I would only post if it involved a Coinstar for the most part.

It's all free money!

Because some of us find nothing. Nothing. It is nice to see something being found by someone.

I went to the supermarket at the weekend and saw to my horror that they were redecorating the area around the CoinStar machine, and it was switched off and inaccessible!

But then I found an Israeli 1995 1 New Shequel on the ground by the bus station, and yesterday morning on the way to work I picked up a 2009 Czech 1 Korun off the sidewalk! It's great when you can get foreign coins for free!
