Coinstar Finds! (Including Bank Counters And Other Machines)

My wife found this in the cash drawer at work and brought it home for me:




Not too shabby after 80 years (the coin).

First Coinstar of the day yesterday had what looked to be a pile of about 25 Lincolns... buried at the bottom of the pile was a funny looking dime... two of the Lincolns were very much keepers!

Found two clad dimes and a couple of zincoins yesterday. Not much, but free money.

I've also decided to keep all of my (non-collectible) finds in a jar and how many years it takes me to fill it up. ;)

Heard the coin machine at work today making its usual clicking noise whenever there is something stuck in the hopper. After the lobby cleared out, I went over to check what it was, and there it was....a 1921-D Morgan. Large dollars are too big to go through the machine, even into the reject cup. So they just sit there and spin in the hopper until someone clears them out. I've come across several Ikes this way, but never a Morgan or Peace dollar. I guess I can classify this as my first Morgan from circulation. It's not too bad looking; somewhat dirty but not significantly worn. There is still some mint luster remaining. Merry Christmas to me!
