Coinstar is a very sporadic little guy... I have had a very dry January... two silver dimes in the one Coinstar, and that's it so far... but you just never know when something good is around the corner as you can see by Pancake's nice Merc find above - congrats, Pancake! All you can do is keep plugging away. The key is persistency... hit the machines as many times as possible. Today I found 42 cents in one machine, but nothing out of the ordinary. CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

87 cents richer this morning thanks to Coinstar, and amongst the coins was a 1957-D nickel.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

I have never even looked at the coinstar machine at my local grocery stores, but I'm going to check next time I go.

$1.10 and some various foreign coins... found my 3rd CoinStar silver dime of the year today, a 1957-D.   CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!
