For all you curious types out there, the round cardboard piece is 26 mm. in diameter and weighs .26 of a gram.
I don't know it that's the proper weight for a round piece of cardboard or not. I haven't bought the "Official Round Cardboard Hunters Guidebook".

I finally struck silver again at the Coinstar machine, and ironically enough, it happened right after I was done swapping bills at the lottery counter.
So I went into this grocery store that's jam packed, being that Christmas is 3 days away, and asked to trade 2 fives and 10 ones for a 20. While I'm doing that, I noticed this woman dumping change into the Coinstar machine, so I check out the machine after she leaves, and I got quite a few coins!
-$6 in Jamaican dollars (it was a $1 and $5 coin, after looking up the conversion, it's worth less than a nickel!)
-10 cents from Singapore
-a penny and a 5 pence coin from the UK
-5 colones from Costa Rica
-Canadian quarter
-50 Pfenning from Germany
Then there was 42 cents in US change, including a 1958 dime and 1941 penny!

Yesterday I went to the grocery store and check the coinstar machine on the way out. There was a small handful of change in there. One silver dime (62-D) and probably another dollar in recent change. I kept the dime and dropped the rest in the salvation army bucket at the front of the store.
Tonight I go back to the same store to get a few more groceries. Same thing tonight except the dime was a 54-D.

The Coinstar wells around home have been mostly dry the last year with only occasional common coins found. On Monday we were in the Chicago area to see the kids and stopped by the local grocery to stock up for the holiday dinner. I found 12 cents of spenders, a penny and dime in the reject bin and a penny in the well. First find anywhere in a long time for me. No silver or foreign stuff but I am hopeful good times will return.

Went to the coinstar today to cash in some CRHing change, and found a 1943 quarter in the reject tray! There was a 1979 penny and a 2009 penny in there as well but the quarter was more exciting. It was beat up bad. For some reason I can't get the pictures to be small enough, and usually I can, but I figured I don't necessarily need pictures. Anyways it was a nice find for me!
