Found these and $1.13 of recent US coins last night: In addition, over the last few months I've probably found another three or four dollars worth of recent US coins, $.68 Canadian, €1.35, and these slightly interesting coins: For a 74 year old coin, that 44S is pretty darned nice. The PMD on that 70S would have intrigued me if that had been on a 19th century coin. That 1985 is about as chewed up a coin as can ever be identified. The token is interesting. The scan isn't great, but in the middle it says: TERRAMUNDI money pots, please smash. It has a website address on it: http://www.terramundi.co.uk. Oddly the thing shows up on Numista. "Let creativity flow". Some kind of gift idea. Went to the site. I guess the idea is to put coins in a nice looking pot and then give it as a gift to be smashed. Meh. I didn't go anywhere near a CoinStar machine today but I did park my car in a very expensive parking lot in a touristy historic village. I had to put £4.50 into the meter, but when I tried paying part of the fee with a £2 coin, the machine rejected it. I reached into the reject slot, and, in addition to my own £2 coin, pulled out three £1 coins and one 50p. None of the coins were collectible but it was great only paying £1 for parking! Machine 1- 36 cents in ordinary change, and a watch battery Machine 2- 1985 1 pound coin, 2 washers (I bumped into a friend from high school who wanted to cash his change out, so I watched him dump it into the machine, eating the 12% fee and resulting in $91 profit for him; none of his rejects were worthwhile so I let him keep them but I did remove the British pound from under the machine and the 2 washers from his change since I spotted them before they went through the scanners, possibly causing a jam) Then on the way out, I saw a foreign container on the counter and sure enough, there was more change in the reject bin. This was probably the most interesting score of the 3, as there was 21 cents in ordinary change, a 1978 1/2FR coin, and a 1990 2 Deutsche Mark coin, which is the first pre-Euro I've found from Germany in awhile! Bryan78 Pillar of the Community United States 1068 Posts	Posted 03/04/2019 04:55 am Recent coinstar finds. I also found a measly cent but did not take a picture of it. I soaked these in vinegar since they were covered in goop and stuck together mostly. Nothing of true value other than face so that is what is with the discoloration. Report this Post to the Staff
