Look for 'Tools' (next to 'Home') in the menu below "What's in your pocket?"

Then click on Manage Subscriptions.

I went ahead and removed your subscription to this topic.

I checked the CoinStar machine, but the reject slot was empty. I will look again next time though.

After a drought of several months, I found this beat up 1947 Canadian silver ten cents piece. It even had a bit of rubber band stuck to King George's head.

Don't forget to check the metal basket the coins are dumped into. I find dimes in the basket all the time.

Sometimes I look under the machine. That's where I found that silver quarter.

Yup...that's how I found a 1963-D silver dime earlier this year... And also the ledge behind the metal basket - found a War Nickel there once.

Same. Under the machine and even under adjacent machines (or the ice cooler at my most local CVS) - have found lots of goodies this way.

@newguy79 - so your coinstar does not kick the silver out then?

Thats what I need, a job emptying those things. My local bank has a change machine that bags the coins and the other day I went in and they were changing the half dollar bag out bec it was full. It had 2 walkers that I could see in it, but they are not allowed to sell the bags, they get picked up by armored car. Someone must be loving going through those bags before the coins are rewrapped.

Some acetone should get rid of that. Unless you like it.

A wadded up grocery receipt obstructed the nice 88 cent (US) haul which awaited me in the Coinstar machine's reject bin tonight... a quarter, five dimes, a nickel, eight pennies, a Canadian nickel and a 2 Cent Euro coin... upon closer inspection, two of the dimes turned out to be keepers!

This was actually my first significant find in just over two months. June actually broke a five month streak of finding at least one silver dime in a Coinstar. My count for the 2023 year now is 9 silver dimes, 2 silver quarters, 2 pre-60 nickels, 1 2009-D nickel, and 4 wheat cents.

Great finds John77! I love finding silver, especially 90% silver. It's always a good day when you find some.
