It was a 1944. I was at work when I posted, couldn't remember the year.

Other than Safeway and almost all bank branches, I don't know anywhere else in western Canada to find coin counters. This one particular branch had cookies yesterday, so I looked to see if they were still there after making a withdrawal. No cookies, but finally my first silver find: a 1965 dime in the reject slot.

Usually by finding things in the reject tray. Sometimes by finding them in the trash or floor nearby.

There was one dime in the reject slot today, but low and behold, it's from 1947! And then I got some coin rolls from the customer service desk and got solid 2015 rolls ...guess I won't be getting coin rolls unless they're customer wrapped from now on.

And to add on to that, I was at Walmart today, and got my first ever silver from there! There were a bunch of pennies stuck in the hopper which I got out, and I also saw something under the machine, and after sliding out, it's a REALLY worn dime that's obviously silver, so after reading the date, it's a 1950-S! That's my first S-mint dime found in the wild!
