Nice john! Today I got a 1950 1 pfennig ("D" mint), 2012 100 peso from Chile, and a 1961 5 centavos from the Dominican Republic.

Went to my local grocery store yesterday and there was a little old lady dumping coins into the Coinstar machine. When I finished shopping she was still there so I hung around awhile but she was taking her time emptying various bags and containers of coins. I left to run another errand but on the way home I decided to stop at the grocery store again and see if she was still there. She wasn't but the reject tray was filled with coins. Found a number of Canadian coins including 2 Loonies; several American coins including a Sacagawea dollar and a nice 1952-S silver Rosie; various Mexican coins of different denominations; several British coins; and various other coins and two tokens and a key. My biggest Coinstar find to date. I would have liked to have seen the coins she was putting into the Coinstar machine that didn't get rejected.   |

Today a carter quarter, sac, a bunch of zinc, 2 clad dimes, a 2004 100 piso coin from the Philippines, and a casa bonita token. Also a euro 5 cent from spain!

Recently I went to the bank and found a small spill in the reject tray and I got some foreigns from the teller, she saves them for me so I think I'll include those too.
2 Canadian Quarters, 2000 & 2006
1979 Candian Nickel
2 unknown coins, India maybe?
A 1955 Swiss 20?, I don't know the denomination
Aaaaaaand...drumroll please! *badadumbadadumbadadum* a 1943 steel cent! (Yaaaaaaaay!)

Visited two Coinstars at two grocery stores I had never been to before and was able to pick a 2006 Canadian which was jammed in the hopper at the first store. Then at the second location, I quickly checked under the machine while the cashiers where playing on their phones  and snagged a 1977 British Penny and a 1988 1/2 Swish Franc. Sometimes I are worried to lie down and reach under the machine because it can be very awkward  , but I feel that under the machine yields the most consistent finds. First of all, not many Coinstar searchers will lie down and and actually reach under for many reasons. Secondly, when people are dumping coins, they often drop some that roll under the machine and aren't worth salvaging. These coins are the real sleepers that only a determined searcher will find. The only problem with this is that cashiers will look at you like you are either immature and a bit crazy or they will think you are poor and are looking for free money  . BUT if you can do it discretely, especially when the store is calm, you can almost always rely on it to house some coins. I am wondering how many of you Coinstar searchers check under the machine? IF so, comment if you find it fruitful or not in your area.
