I received this in change at the ice cream shop last month. It's pretty creased, but I had to save it since it's such a unique number. Any value on it? I'm keeping it even if everyone says it's only worth 99 cents!  |

Someone might really like it for the date. Anything 1948 would get a premium for me, the year my dad was born. Looks to be in rough shape but still a really cool find!

Very nice, just keep it. It's a pretty low serial, and a date. I have found a lot of serials lately that the last four digits are a modern year, but the first four couldn't possibly be a date. I also came eerily close to finding my birthday. But of course it just couldn't be. :)

A great find and definitely a keeper. I don't know if it'll ever increase above face value, since the condition is quite low.
