I received this in change at the ice cream shop last month. It's pretty creased, but I had to save it since it's such a unique number. Any value on it? I'm keeping it even if everyone says it's only worth 99 cents!

It's a birthday/anniversary note.

I'd keep it, too. It's cool.

You may get a small premium on the bay even in that condition.

That would be 99 Australian cents.

Someone might really like it for the date. Anything 1948 would get a premium for me, the year my dad was born. Looks to be in rough shape but still a really cool find!

Very nice, just keep it. It's a pretty low serial, and a date. I have found a lot of serials lately that the last four digits are a modern year, but the first four couldn't possibly be a date. I also came eerily close to finding my birthday. But of course it just couldn't be. :)

I'd keep that note too!

Actually, 97 Aussie cents.

The "Squawk Box" ticker has the Aussie Dollar at $1.03 American; give it an hour. Gold and silver as well as the Pound Sterling are down this morning. If the greenback is surging, we could be even with you by noon. LOL

If you can find somebody looking for a unique gift for someone born in 1997, you might make a few dollars off it. Very cool find!

We have an ebay section set up by year just for this. You can keep an eye out for cool stuff here...

A great find and definitely a keeper. I don't know if it'll ever increase above face value, since the condition is quite low.
