Well, certainly not $1000.
Even with a 20-25% premium for the toning, that would put me at about $90-$100, seriously, but that's me.
Given the listing, I don't understand why it's not with Heritage now. That would seem to be the best course of action and the only route that would limit second guessing on the sales strategy.

Numismedia price in MS-67 is $77.00. Then you have to take into consideration its awesome eye appeal. I myself would probably pay no more than $95.00 for it. Quote: but thats prolly too low What's a prolly? I can't find it in the dictionary. Ed ANA LM-3175

Ok gotcha so noone here is crazy enough to pay 400+? I understand that for some coins, toning can add a FEW Hundred percent to the price such as common date morgans with super toning going for a few thousand

Toning....the beauty is in the eye of the beholder....either love it...or not.
Personally, I like my coins as issued. My reason, once the toning, speckling, etc., starts...there is no end to it.

Great eye appeal but not more than a hundred bucks worth IMHO.

Quote: I understand that for some coins, toning can add a FEW Hundred percent to the price such as common date morgans with super toning going for a few thousand Ive seen that on ebay too, generally its just a couple people that go crazy on it because they can I guess. Theres only one way to find out if it would or not, but the general opinion will be most people wont do that.

Coin World lists MS66 at 100 and has no higher grades listed. That thing is absolutely beautiful. I would go 130 or so, bt certainly not 400. Thats just nuts.

$125 is exactly what PCGS has it listed in the Price and Pop report. Beautiful coin and I don't particularly like toned coins.

I dont care for toned coins, but it looks to be a very high MS Mercury. I might pay $75 ot $80.00 if it was not toned. Many collectors like toned coins and beauty is in the eye of the beholder
