I've never found 1 coin at a garage sale. Once I found around $100 worth of sterling silver spoons for $10.

2 days ago I was at a garage sale with a friend and she grabbed a jewelry box that had a bunch of costume jewelry in it for $5. When I checked it out later their was a thin 14k gold ring and 4 sterling silver items in it.

wow really good find. Thumbs up to you for offering him 50$ for it even if it was marked 20$. I guess he really wanted to get rid of them, OR it was his wife's collection and didn't tell her.

Good find SWRBXXX

Now THAT's a garage sale score! Puts my silver Ike from a few weeks back to shame. Gives one a real incentive to drag one's butt out of bed early on a Saturday morning.

Wow! Congrats. What a wonderful find. Do you often get coins in garage sales in Ont? We get used ranch equipment and video movies! Thanks for sharing, especially the pics.

Gee. Your lucky. Over the past summer I went to a couple of yard sales, best thing I could find were some British 1967 coins. :S

Once I was doing my daily 8km ride I discovered a garage with full of wilverware, not silver coins. Some old, pure silver cups made in India were only sold for two bucks each.
