With the reported population minted of this set is 38,576 just amazes me too!!!!!!!!! Or are the reports not accurate!

I searched for one of those for about 6 months - after the grand daughter was born in September 2011 - the best price I ever found (and bought) was $54 - almost twice the issue price. If the population is real at 38K, the prices are set by the hoarders. The very reason I feel that the "secondary market" is no better than ticket scalpers.

Well it didn't sell for $199 it went for best offer.... The set usually sells under $100
I have two plus the silver 1/2 ounce $4 feet.
This set is sought after because it is the first baby set year a coin die is used for striking the coin,
previous years quarters were painted on.
In my opinion it is the nicest looking packaging for a uncirculated baby set.

Hmmm, I paid $20.97 average (total including tax and shipping) for my 2 sets in fall 2011. I think I got them off ebay. Gave one to my nephew who was born around that time. |

@ kuh_85 or anyone else that has one..... If you ever want to sell yours at a reasonable profit, please let me know. I have searched high and low for one of these for my daughter (born April 2011), and can't find it anywhere but ebay. I'm not willing to pay $100 or more for this set that everyone is asking. |

@middross - Sorry, don't have another spare.  Have you considered the $3 birthstone diamond or $4 Welcome to the World instead? I've seen both going for less than issue price on ebay recently. |
