I received my NGC graded coins back from the ANA World Money Fair, some was showcase here before and some new. I am surprised that the 1941 S large S comment with harshly cleaned, could of been pro-polished, that one came along with the 1945 D over horizontal D graded AU-53 in a roll bought raw years ago. I am glad that one not temper with.

The 1942/41 D graded only F-15, I thought it would be VF-20, but I think NGC has toughen their grading standard just a bit. Good for the collectors that want to buy.

Nice dimes! I like the "prong" holders too. PCGS has modified their slabs so you can see the edges also; but, the plastic distorts the edges. NGC's slab is much better for viewing edge lettering and reeding.

Very nice collection.

Do you keep them in a box or have a display setup?

Also the PCGS prongs are also much wider and half of the edge is still covered.

True but I think the clear plastic doesn't distract from the coin as much as the white does which you cant see through at all

I prefer the NGC slab as it doesn't distort the edge as mention before, but if I was the engineer, my ideal slab would be to create exactly the same layout with the prong, but the whole white holder would be in clear plastic like PCGS. This would combined the best of both features.

For that matter, why not have an insert in the side of the slab that is a "viewing pane" kind of like a light pipe? That would totally rue the day.

Its a matter of manufacturing cost factor, my suggestion would only have NCG or PCGS switching a base material that already used.

Also, there are related products need to be change if anything else changes to the slab thickness and size.
