Looking for input on dealers who do submissions to PCGS in Philadelphia or South Jersey. Looking for firsthand experience of someone who is trustworthy, please.

I can't think of anyone off the top of my head - I'm outside Atlantic City - who submits in this area. Philadelphia isn't as fertile ground for dealers as you might expect of a large city.

Quote: Beachcomber Collectibles used to but no longer. I'm not sure what he's doing any more. They closed the Hamilton Mall location, got out of Brigantine, and now it looks like they're taking over a bank branch a mile from my house. But there's only a sign there, no indication of any renovation, and no room in that tiny building for very much inventory.

If I bring the coin I want to submit to a show, will I be able to submit it through a dealer that way? Will that dealer need to ship my coin to me or will PCGS ship it directly to my house?

There are several Internet dealers who accept and submit coins to the PCGS and NGC. Be sure to read the fine print and ask the dealer lots of questions. Some of the Auction houses accept your coins and will have them graded for free...if you auction them through them. Yes, TPG'ers who attend shows should accept direct submissions...are you still required to be a member? That's another question. From what I understand, if you submit your coin through an authorized dealer, the coin is shipped from and back to that dealer, since they are a member of that TPG. Another good thing (IMO) about sending your coin through an authorized dealer, they can be another set of eyes to filter out coins that may have "issues" which could be "body bagged", wasting everyone's time in the process.

It sounds like he was asking about a dealer at a show that can submit to them not direct submission himself. About your comment, I am not sure about having to be a member to submit at the PCGS/NGC tables either and not even sure he knew that the grading companies are usually at the bigger shows themselves and will allow direct submissions directly at their table. When it comes to submitting a coin at a dealer at a show I would want to make sure they were local and not one across country

Sorry guys. Thanks for the responses but it still isn't clear.
At shows in the past, I have directly submitted to ANACS - no problems, done deal.
At the upcoming Baltimore show, may I either directly submit to PCGS without being a member? If not, would a dealer at the show be able to submit at PCGS's table and then have the coin mailed back to my home address?
It is frustrating because it is one coin, albeit a valuable coin that doesn't warrant joining PCGS as a member, as I don't submit coins to TPGs very often at all.

ANACS doesn't require membership which is why it was no problem.
The only way I see PCGS not making you be a member to submit at the show is if you select the same day service, which is very expensive.
If a dealer submits the coins going to be shipped back to their address on file. PCGS isn't going to sort out orders and ship part of it 1 place and the rest of it the other. Theyll ship it once to the dealer and let them sort it out.

Then get with Susan, the Forum Mom and founder of CCF. She's close - in Delaware - and an established dealer and PCGS member. She submits to PCGS pretty often and will be happy to piggyback your coin.

I would also like to know a dealer in Delaware who I could submit coins to go to either PCGS or NGC. Since moving to the Southern part of DE last year I find its the pits for coin shows or dealers around here. Thank god Ocean City is coming up. So Susan, Forum Mom, etc. if you could also let me know anyone or place or yourself that I can get coins submitted through. The price of joining PCGS itself is over my head.
Thanks in advance
