Need your opinion on 1907-S $20 LIBERTY DOUBLE EAGLE GOLD.
I usually only buy graded coins because of all the fraud out there. But this looks like a nice coin. If I decide to bid and win, I would have it sent out for grading.
Need you help, since I'm not sure what grade this coin is.

Learning how to grade for yourself is a neccesity when buying raw high $$$ gold or any coin for that matter. Stick with NGC, PCGS slabs if you feel uncomfortable with your grading abilities.

unless you really wany that date regardless of condition or are not going to pay much over bullion.

(Seller looks quite reputable, so doubt it would be a fake.)

its definitely not a BU coin, I am guessing it is somewhere around Fine to XF condition

I don't like the lack of detail in the eagle's wings. I also don't like the rim on the reverse. Think I would pass on this one just to be sure, better to buy one in a slab or from a dealer you trust.
