The bottom right steps next to the int. FG Caught my eye? I haven't seen this on any other 78 so far. Just wondering.

it is actually part of the forward design, and its a bush not steps .

yours appears to be a little different can you get a close up picture ?

Hey moonshine. Is this what you are talking about? I cropped your picture hope you don't mind. If it is it looks like Mechanical Doubling of some sort to me.

Yep, That's what I saw, I kinda thought it was Machine Doubling too! It was still fun to find something other than just a plain [78] HaHa,

It is Machine Doubling, but it isn't the typical 'die chatter' doubling caused by the bounce of a loose die. This doubling is caused by the coin hanging in the chamber (sticking to the die) at the time it was ejected. The ejection scooted the design over a little when the coin came loose from the die. Only the higher devices were affected because of the nature of the doubling. Notice that the FG initials were not affected. Doubling like this can only be caused by ejection.
