Since my credit union doesn't get new coins, which of these banks would you say would have a good chance of having them? I'm in Michigan by the way.

If getting the new issue coins was ap riority ,, I would call all of them to find out which had the most desireable services as well as new coins.

you need to call each branch to see what they have. that way u dont make a trip to each bank and find out they dont have any. also you need to ask if you have to have an account there to be able to buy coins. many banks wont let you buy money if you dont have an account

The name suggests that this banking institution is located only out here in the West. However, Bank of the West has the new dollars, and I know that branches in three different communities near where we live all have huge stocks on hand, and are happy to give them out.

Just ask. The bank I went to didn't have what I asked for. The manager heard me and made a phone call, without me asking to do so, to see if they had what I wanted. She told me to go 2 blocks away to another branch and pick up what I wanted. They had what I was looking for when I walked in.

I live in Michigan and went to my credit union last week to get 2 rolls of the Presidential dollars. They didn't have any and was not sure when they would get any. So I went down right the road to the Huntington Branch ( in Niles ) and they had them. I would think that Fifth third would have them to.

nds76 Northland credit union by Kmart has the Prez dollars in rolls, a P & D in a collector card ($7) and a nice little album ($5) which holds a P & D coin for each of the first 4 Presidents. I just purchased a roll and the album on Friday. Also, Chase bank in Roscommon has rolls. If you are still having a tough time finding them, let me know as I have a connection at Chase. Larry

NDS -- in the Lansing area, Chase Bank and LaSalle Bank (formerly Std. Federal, formerly Michigan National) both generally have new coins, and I know they have the Presidential dollars. Sometimes the tellers in LaSalle's neighborhood branches will want to know if you have an account there. Chase never has asked me that. Good luck. Jan
