It seems Mint starts shipping out the GITD dinosaur coin. Some folks got notice about the shipment. Do you think the price will cool down? Recent ebay listings ends not high as before. |

Really called the mint this morning and they said NO dinos are being sent out yet and they do not have a date yet as to when they will start shipping.As for popular they will be worth even more as the series goes on it will be $200 plus when the 3rd and 4th coin come out easily just hold on to them for a while I now have 53 of them

I called Mint this morning. They shipped my 9 dino out yesterday. Hope you guys get your dino soon.

I called the mint today too because my credit card got a pending transaction. They estimated 2-4 weeks depending on customs clearance (U.S.).
I'm very excited since this is my first coin! Awesome!

@JeyRey2000, According to Mint Rep, Second coin in the series will be released early 2013. (Feb might be)

It had to be this year, like September as they said two in 2012 and two in 2013 ... With all the delays and probs they got, I'm not even sure it will come out in early 2013 :/

Of course. The flipper competition has increased, and the coin is somewhat off the collector's radar now. But, that is short term stuff. Perhaps it will spike again as an Xmas gift. But, I expect it won't be revisited until the next in the series. If a series is popular, then the first tends to become the key date. |

I don't see these being $200. You can get the 2007 fossil coin for $200. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the pterosaur becomes the most valuable of the set. Maybe even more than the 2007 fossil coin. I would imagine the Mint will be putting tighter purchasing limits on the remainder of the series.

Guys, it's already dropped price at dealer.
Colonial has this coin for $85. And over 30 in stock at this moment 11:00 pm.
Still Consider should I upload 10 for future as elkslayer132 did. :)

I'm wondering if the original pieces have a defect that will make them more valuable than the fixed shipments that are on their way next month.
